Diabetic Life Insurance FAQ’s
01. What Is The Most Common Reason A Diabetic Is Declined For Coverage?
There are two: lack of control and applying to the wrong carrier. Both issues can be avoided with the right agent.
02. If There Are So Many Solutions Out There, Why Was I Declined Last Year?
Your agent might have unknowingly submitted your case to a carrier that doesn't take diabetics or applied to a carrier that you did not qualify for health-wise. We have very few declines because we know what is likely to issue before we ever send it in.
03. I Have Life Insurance Already. Why Should I Talk To You?
Because of widespread misconceptions in products and agent understanding, you may be paying more than you could or should be. We know where the best rates are and can quickly tell you whether the policy you have is a good deal compared to what we can do for you.
04. I Was Recently Told That I Cannot Get Coverage Because I Have Diabetes.
You were told wrong. This is pretty common. The person who told you that was probably trained that way. They may not know better.
05. Do Your Policies Have A Two Year Waiting Period?
In most cases, NO. Two year waiting periods apply to policies that are graded, modified or guaranteed issue. While we do offer those policies, the vast majority of what we offer does not require a 2-year wait.
06. Are These Guaranteed Issue Policies?
In most cases, NO. Most diabetics qualify for an immediate death benefit. We offer guaranteed issue products for clients with severe health issues but, happily, we don't have to resort to them very often.
07. I Heard That I Cannot Get Life Insurance Because I Take Insulin. Is This True?
No. This is a common misconception. Insulin use will not disqualify you in getting coverage from one of our specialty carriers.
